In today's installment of "Coffee Break," we present seven projects and realizations that aim to connect the city with water and create resident-friendly spaces. Connections - city and river, still problematic for many Polish cities, were the theme of last year's International Architecture Biennale in Krakow[report].
Open Air Museum
An open-air museum has been created on the banks of the Olza River, which not only organizes the riverside space, but also tells the story of important events in the history of the border town. You can read more about the project here.

Philadelphia Boulevard
In 2015, a competition for the design of the Philadelphia Boulevard in Toruń was settled. However, the winning concept by architects from Riegler Riewe Architects is still waiting to be implemented.
Paprocany
On Lake Paprocany in Tychy, architects from the RS+ Robert Skitek studio designed a promenade and a water playground - a public space for the city's residents. You can read more about this project in Małgorzata Tomczak's interview with Robert Skitek[here].

Vistula Boulevards
Warsaw's popular Vistula Boulevards from Tamka Street to Boleść Street are the result of the work of RS Architektura Krajobrazu and Architecture design offices. We encourage you to read Edyta Skiba's extensive article on this realization in the archival issue of A&B.

Vistula Boulevards
The final, third section of the development of the left bank, Vistula River boulevard will be realized according to a design by Warsaw-based studio WXCA.

Żerański Park
The competition for the design of the development of the area along the Żeranski Canal in Warsaw's Białołęka district was won by the topoScape studio. The awarded concept includes, among other things, a waterfront promenade and floating platforms.

Xawery Dunikowski Boulevard
The reconstruction of Xawery Dunikowski Boulevard in Wroclaw was carried out according to the design of architect Piotr Zuraw's studio. The project covered the area adjacent to the Oder River from the Piaskowy Bridge to the Grunwaldzki Bridge.
